Two separate Columbia men were sentenced today for incidents of illegal gun possession.
30-year-old Gerrell Lawrence pleaded guilty in February after being arrested with a handgun in October of 2025, although he was a convicted felon who was not allowed a firearm. He was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison.
In a separate case, 32-year-old Lajuan Martin was sentenced to eight years in prison today after pleading guilty in November of last year. at the time of his arrest, a gun and drugs were found in his possession as a felon.
