An investigation is underway in Callaway County following the death of a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper.
According to the Highway Patrol, no foul play is suspected and there is no danger to the public.
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office began the investigation after receiving a 911 call just before 3 p.m. Thursday on Callaway County Road 395 east of U.S. 63.
By early evening, more than 20 vehicles many belonging to the Highway Patrol were seen parked along the highway near the scene.
Authorities say no additional details are being released at this time as the investigation continues.
