Moberly man charged after road rage shooting in Columbia

A Moberly man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he fired a gun during a road rage incident in Columbia.

Boone County prosecutors charged 49-year-old Robert Neese Jr. with first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action.

Police say the incident happened May 26 near the U.S. 63 and Interstate 70 connector, where Neese allegedly fired from a moving vehicle at another driver.

Investigators say dashcam video captured a muzzle flash and gunshot, and Flock Safety cameras helped identify the suspect.

Neese was arrested Friday.

Court records show an initial court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
