A Boone County judge has rescheduled the murder trial of Randall Russell Fox, the Columbia man charged in the 2024 deaths of Sara Fox and her mother, Marcia Hess.
Court records show the four-day jury trial was pushed from August to Dec. 8 because witnesses were unavailable.
Fox faces two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, and tampering with physical evidence.
The case began as a missing persons investigation before police discovered the women’s bodies inside a closet at a home on Ridgemont Drive.
Fox has pleaded not guilty.
