A Columbia woman has been sentenced to five years of supervised probation after pleading guilty to second-degree assault in Boone County.
Twenty-year-old Trinity Carleton was charged following a March 27 attack in which prosecutors say she helped another woman assault a victim at a mobile home park on Clark Lane.
Court documents allege Carleton held the victim down while the other suspect punched and slammed the victim to the ground and into a rock flower bed.
Witnesses recorded the incident, and responding officers reported the victim suffered multiple injuries, including facial bruising, cuts and bleeding.
Carleton was sentenced June 1 after changing her plea to guilty.
