The head of Catholic Schools in mid-Missouri is taking a new job, prompting a large-scale search for a replacement.
Dr. Erin Vader is leaving her position of Superintendent of Schools in the Diocese of Jefferson City to move to the archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas.
Vader was appointed by former Jeff City Bishop Shawn McKnight in 2020. Vader is following in his footsteps, as McKnight is now the archbishop of Kansas City, Kansas.
Kathy Coulson, the current Director of Curriculum and former principal at St. Brendan School in Mexico, will take over as interim superintendent.
