Authorities in Morgan County are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Wednesday, at about 5:30 p.m. on Blackbird Road north of Birch Road.
Officials say a CF Moto UForce 1000 driven by a 7-year-old boy was traveling north when it skidded on gravel, left the left side of the roadway, and the driver overcorrected as it re-entered the road.
The vehicle then skidded off the left side of the roadway again and overturned.
The child driver was killed in the crash and was pronounced dead at University Hospital at 7:29 p.m.
A 42-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries.
Both were from Stover, and were transported by Mid-MO Ambulance.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
