Jefferson City Authorities Investigate Missouri River Death Friday
Cole County EMS responded to a report of an unresponsive individual in the Missouri River in Jefferson City Friday afternoon around 3:17 p.m.
They located the person floating face down near the Noren River Access in North Jefferson City.
Crews launched a rescue boat around 3:37 p.m. and found the individual deceased.
Detectives with the Jefferson City Police Department have assumed the primary role at this early point in the death investigation.
