An inmate serving a sentence for sex crimes at the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center has died, according to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Officials say 62-year-old Brian Tate was pronounced dead June 15 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
He had been received by the department in April and was serving a 120-day sentence that included a sex offender assessment program after pleading guilty to child molestation and sodomy charges in St. Charles County earlier this year.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
