Nichols Street to Reopen after Wall Collapse

Nichols Street in Fulton will reopen today after a partial building collapse that occurred last week.

The traffic will still be limited, but after initial inspections from structural engineers, the east side of the road is safe enough to accommodate traffic.

One city official said, “There does not appear to be an immediate concern regarding the overall stability of the remaining structure, and therefore the east side of S. Nichols Street can be reopened to traffic.”

Parking on the street will continue to be restricted while the investigation and work continue.
