The bench trial for a Moberly man accused of murder was halted today after the defense requested a recess to alter its strategy.
David Kip Heyde is accused of shooting Bailey Scott dead on his property last year. The court heard testimony from Alexandria Hardy, who claimed to hear the two arguing on Heyde’s porch the day of the shooting, and she also said that Heyde had made violent threats in the past.
Heyde’s bench trial is set to continue tomorrow at 9 a.m.
