The FBI says a second suspect has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville that netted more than $1.2 million.
Twenty-year-old Hollis Vanleer Jr. was taken into custody Wednesday in Bloomington, Illinois.
Investigators say Vanleer and former casino employee Benjamin Charles stole $1.276 million during the March robbery.
According to court documents, two masked gunmen entered a restricted area of the casino, grabbed cash from the vault area, and assaulted a patron while fleeing.
Authorities tracked the suspects through an abandoned getaway vehicle and later identified Charles, who allegedly admitted helping plan the robbery and named Vanleer as his accomplice.
Both men now face multiple felony charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.
