A Mexico man is facing multiple charges after police say he was connected to an overnight burglary.
The Mexico Public Safety Department says officers responded Wednesday morning to a reported burglary in the 600 block of Summit Street.
Investigators identified 31-year-old Jeremy Bell as a suspect.
Later that afternoon, officers located Bell with the help of a citizen’s tip.
Police say Bell fled on foot but was taken into custody after a short chase.
He was booked into the Audrain County Jail on charges of second-degree burglary, stealing, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance.
