A Moberly man has been charged after allegedly assaulting a staff member at Moberly Medical Center.
The victim said that she thought 40-year-old Joseph Allen Prewitt was preparing to lie down on his bed, and she walked away, but Prewitt pushed her into a wall, threw her to the ground, pulled her hair, and repeatedly kneed and kicked her.
Probable cause statements say the victim sustained a fractured rib, lost a section of her hair, and had multiple bruises.
Prewitt was charged with Second-Degree Assault on a Special Victim and booked into the Randolph County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
