Death Case in Jefferson City Ends in Probation After Guilty Plea to Lesser Charge
A Jefferson City man accused of beating another man to death in has pleaded guilty to lesser charges.
On May 13, Zacchaeus Silva pleaded guilty to one count of Second Degree Accessory Assault. He was initially charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action, in an incident when he was 16 years old and he allegedly beat Jerry Robertson with a floor jack handle on the night of April 20, 2017, in the 1400 block of East Miller Street in Jeff City.
Silva was given a suspended seven year prison sentence with five years of supervised probation.
