Former Moberly Cop Gets Bond Revoked, Arrested by SWAT Team

A former Moberly police officer found guilty of murder has had his bond revoked and has been arrested by a Moberly SWAT Team.

David Kip Heyde was found guilty of Second Degree Murder on June 26th. He was granted bond soon after and paid the $100,000 bail.

However, today at about 12:20 p.m., a Moberly SWAT Team arrested him in cooperation with the Moberly Police Department, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, the North Missouri Drug Task Force and the Brookfield Police Department.

Court documents cite that his arrest was in accordance with Section 544.671 RSMO, which states that certain defendants are not entitled to bail for certain offenses.

Heyde was booked into the Randolph County Jail without bond just after noon today. His sentencing is set for August 21st at 1 p.m.
