The Columbia School Board has declared a vacancy following the resignation of board member Jeanne Snodgrass, who is leaving after accepting a new job outside the district.
Snodgrass was first elected in 2021 and reelected last year.
The board will now accept applications, interview candidates and appoint a replacement to serve until the April 2027 election.
Board members also delayed action on proposed changes to the district’s bullying policy, saying they’ll review public feedback before bringing a revised proposal back for consideration in August.
