Construction is moving quickly at the future home of the Central Missouri Veterans Monument.
After breaking ground July 15, crews have completed the concrete foundation, with work on a new parking lot set to begin this week.
Granite monuments are expected to be installed by September, along with American, Missouri, and POW/MIA flags.
A folded steel flag will serve as the centerpiece, topped by a sign reading, “All gave some, some gave all.”
Foundation President Russ Davis says there’s no official completion date yet, but the goal is to have enough finished for a Veterans Day dedication.
