Gary Pinkel License Challenge Dismissed
A judge has dismissed former Mizzou football coach Gary Pinkel’s challenge to the revocation of his driver’s license following a DWI arrest in Camden County last July.
Court records show the judge ruled the arrest was lawful, that the responding trooper had reasonable grounds to believe Pinkel was intoxicated, and that he refused a blood alcohol test.
A bench trial had been scheduled for Monday, but no one appeared on Pinkel’s behalf.
The dismissal means his license suspension takes effect Saturday.
Pinkel pleaded guilty to the DWI charge in June and was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
