Trial Dates Set for Two People Charged with Murder of Columbia Man
Trial dates were set for two people accused of killing a Columbia man in Benton County.
36-year-old Kayley Rae Birnbaum and 30-year-old Michael Thomas Birnbaum are charged each with First Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action in connection with the death of 28-year-old Cody Garrett in 2021.
The documents also state that one of the Birnbaums was the sole beneficiary of a $50,000 life insurance policy and all of Garrett’s possessions.
Kayley Birnbaum’s trial is set for April 12, 2027, and Michael Birnbaum’s is set for May 27, 2027.
The trial of a third person charge, 71-year-old Jack Wagner will be on January 11, 2027.
