Columbia Trails Reopen After Storm Damage
Columbia crews are making progress repairing trails damaged by last week’s storms.
Parks and Recreation officials say most trails are now passable, though crews are still working on washouts and debris in several areas.
The MKT Trail has reopened after major washouts were repaired.
The Grindstone Creek, Perche Creek, Hominy Creek and Scott’s Branch trails have also been cleared, though some debris remains on Scott’s Branch.
The Bear Creek Trail still has several washouts, with more work expected next week.
The County House Trail will have a temporary closure Tuesday and Wednesday for scheduled maintenance.
Officials are asking trail users to use caution while repairs continue.
