Three Seriously Injured in Howard County Crash

Three people suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Howard County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 32-year-old Mendon man was driving an SUV on Missouri 87 near Missouri 187 around 3:30 p.m. when he crossed into the northbound lane, hit another SUV and overturned.

The second SUV, driven by a 75-year-old Salisbury woman, went off the road and was then struck by a car driven by a 22-year-old Glasgow man.

All three drivers suffered serious injuries. The Salisbury woman and Glasgow man were taken to University Hospital in Columbia. The Mendon man refused transport.

All three were wearing seat belts. Both SUVs were totaled, while the car sustained moderate damage.
