David Kip Heyde Receives 20-Year Prison Sentence
Former Moberly Police Officer David Kip Heyde was sentenced prison this afternoon for murder.
Heyde’s charges were in connection to an incident from the summer of 2025 when he shot and killed 23-year-old Bailey Scott.
He was found guilty of second-degree murder in June 2026, but was originally given a $100,000 bond before having it revoked.
Today he received a 20-year prison sentence.
