Nick Loftin led the attack with four RBIs, including a three-run homer, while John Rave and Kyle Isbel also delivered key hits.
Daniel Lynch IV provided a solid start, and the Royals’ bullpen held off the Tigers to secure the win.

The St. Louis Cardinals fell 6-4 to the Philadelphia Phillies last night after giving up a shocking six-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning.
St. Louis built an early 4-0 lead behind Alec Burleson’s two RBI singles, José Fermín’s solo homer and a strong start from Kyle Leahy. But the Cardinals couldn’t hold on, as Philadelphia rallied for four runs in the ninth inning.
Kyle Schwarber capped the stunning comeback with a two-run walk-off homer, handing the Phillies a dramatic victory.
