Jefferson City Man Arrested for DWI After Golf Course Crash

A 28-year-old Jefferson City man was arrested for D-W-I Wednesday afternoon after crashing his car onto a golf course.

Police say the man was driving north on South Country Club Drive when his Hyundai struck a curb, crossed the road, crashed through a fence and ended up on the Jefferson City Country Club golf course.

Investigators say the driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested for D-W-I.

Police say he was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. The crash happened around 4:38 Wednesday afternoon near South Country Club and Country Ridge Drive.
