Mizzou Golfers Seek Extra Year of Eligibility

Two Mizzou women’s golfers will have their case heard This Afternoon as they seek another year of NCAA eligibility.

Addie Dobson and Melanie Walker filed a motion for a temporary restraining order against the NCAA on September 14.

A hearing is scheduled for noon Today at the Boone County Courthouse before Judge Joshua Devine.

The athletes argue they should be allowed to compete under the NCAA’s new five-seasons-in-five-years eligibility rule.

Both began competing for Mizzou as freshmen in 2022 and are seeking eligibility for the team’s next tournament on September 21.

The case is similar to other athletes nationwide seeking an additional year of eligibility.
