MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT
On September 11, 2026, deputies received a report of a vehicle being operated in a careless manner in the Montgomery City area. Deputies responded to the area and located the suspect vehicle. Deputies observed the vehicle failing to maintain its lane and, at one point, driving into the ditch and back onto the roadway. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and, upon contact with the driver, observed signs of intoxication. Standard Field Sobriety Testing was conducted, which the driver performed poorly on. Deputies advised the driver he was under arrest. As deputies attempted to place him in handcuffs, the driver pulled away and began resisting. Once in custody, the driver was transported to the MC Jail, where he provided a breath sample showing a BAC of .187%. He was subsequently charged with Resisting Arrest, Driving While Intoxicated, Careless and Imprudent Driving, Failing to Register a Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License, and Failing to Equip Headlights.

On September 12, 2026, deputies learned of a subject operating a motorcycle who possessed an active warrant and a suspended driver’s license. Deputies stopped the motorcycle and confirmed the subject had an active warrant for failure to appear and that his driving privileges were suspended. The driver was arrested, transported to the MC Jail, and charged with Driving While Revoked.

On September 15, 2026, deputies were conducting an unrelated investigation when they discovered a registered sex offender had changed residences and failed to report the change as required. Through further investigation, deputies located the subject at a campground, which was also a violation of his sex offender requirements. Deputies arrested the subject, transported him to the MC Jail, and charged him with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Being Physically Present Within 500 Feet of a Playground, Park, or Pool.

On September 15, 2026, deputies responded to Bellflower for a Domestic Disturbance. Through the course of the investigation, deputies learned that the male subject was found by his wife with another female who was staying with them. The suspect began repeatedly striking the other female in the head. The aggressor was arrested, transported to the MC Jail, and charged with Domestic Assault.

On September 16, 2026, deputies responded to a residence in New Florence for reports of trespassing, threats, and the suspect pointing a rifle at the victim. During the investigation, deputies learned there had been several calls involving the individual throughout the day. In the latest event the suspect had entered his neighbor’s residence uninvited and threatened them. He then went to his residence, retrieved a rifle, and pointed it at the victim, stating, “You’re dead now.” Deputies located the suspect at a business in Montgomery City. He was arrested, transported to the MC Jail, and charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Armed Criminal Action, Harassment, and Trespassing.
