Jefferson City Man Sentenced to 8 Years for Gun Charge
A Jefferson City man has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Thirty-four-year-old Derrick Crumble pleaded guilty in February. He was sentenced Thursday to eight years in prison without parole, followed by three years of supervised release.
The case stems from a June 2025 shooting in Jefferson City. Police say officers saw Crumble at the scene and found a loaded .233-caliber pistol with a 60-round magazine in his backpack.
According to court documents, Crumble told officers he found the gun and planned to sell it.
Crumble is prohibited from possessing firearms because of prior felony convictions.
