Cairo Man Faces Drug Trafficking Charges After Traffic Stop
A Cairo, Missouri, man is facing drug trafficking charges after police say they found methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription pills during a traffic stop.
Court documents say 57-year-old Christopher Pinegar was pulled over Wednesday night on Highway 63 near Route M by Moberly police and the North Missouri Drug Task Force.
A K-9 alerted officers to drugs inside the vehicle.
Police say they found 68 grams of methamphetamine, 142 grams of marijuana packaged for sale, and nine Alprazolam pills.
Pinegar is charged with second-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance. He was being held in the Randolph County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
