Former Fulton Officer Pleads Guilty
A former Fulton police officer has pleaded guilty in federal court to producing and possessing child sexual abuse material.
Sixty-eight-year-old Jimmy Joe Culbertson pleaded guilty to two counts of producing the material and one count of possessing it.
According to the Justice Department, Culbertson admitted to photographing the abuse of two children and possessing more than 150 files. Investigators also found software designed to conceal his online activity and delete digital evidence.
Culbertson has been jailed in Boone County since 2024 on eight counts of statutory sodomy involving a child under 12.
He faces up to 70 years in federal prison. A sentencing date will be set following a presentence investigation.
