Reign Bar Disputes AG Allegations

Reign Bar is disputing allegations from Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway that the downtown Columbia bar is responsible for ongoing nuisance conditions and violence.

The bar’s attorney, Jermaine Wooten, is asking the Attorney General’s Office to provide the police reports and evidence behind its claims, saying the incidents cited did not happen inside or on property controlled by Reign.

Reign says it will continue safety measures, including security, surveillance and coordination with police and neighboring businesses.

Hanaway says the bar needs to make significant changes or her office could file a lawsuit.
