Mizzou Opens New Meat Science Lab
The University of Missouri unveiled a new meat science education lab Friday, named in honor of former Governor Mike Parson.
Parson joined university leaders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Columbia campus, calling the facility a project more than a decade in the making.
The event included four ceremonies celebrating new research, teaching and outreach facilities, including a grape and wine fermentation lab.
University System President Mun Choi says the investments will support agricultural education, research and community engagement.
Missouri Agriculture Director Chris Chinn also shared a statement from Governor Mike Kehoe welcoming the new facility.
