Downtown Columbia Sidewalk Closures
Sidewalk closures along East Broadway in downtown Columbia will be extended as crews continue painting the Gentry Building.
The City of Columbia says maintenance crews will resume work Monday, November second, at the building located at One South Seventh Street.
Sidewalks along East Broadway will close each day from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. Pedestrian signs will direct people to safe crossing points around the work area.
Barricades will be removed and sidewalks reopened at the end of each workday.
The city expects all sidewalk work to be finished, and walkways fully reopened, by 3:30 p.m. Friday, November thirteenth.
Painting on the back of the building will continue without affecting sidewalks or public parking.
