The Missouri Senate has advanced a right to work bill to ban all mandatory union fees yesterday.
The bill will need another vote to move to the house, which has already passed a nearly identical bill.
Republican Governor Eric Greitens has been vocal in his support of the bill, saying he will sign it if it comes to his desk.
The senate version of the bill includes a provision that would exempt current union contracts until they expire.
