One Arrested in Centralia Chase

One person was arrested on numerous charges after crashing his vehicle during a police chase in Audrain County last night around 11:30.

According to Larry Dudgeon, Centralia Chief of Police, 22 year old Dakota Mathews of rural Audrain County, failed to yield for a traffic stop in Centralia.

The chase ensued down Highway 22, to Route E. The chase ended when Mathews crashed his Ford Ranger into a ditch on Audrain County Road 360. He was not injured and was arrested at that location without further incident.

Mathews is being held in the Boone County Jail. The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted in the incident.
