Missouri’s United States senators are split in support of U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, following the revelation he talked with the Russian ambassador during the presidential campaign.
Senator Claire McCaskill is one of a number of democrats asking for Sessions’ resignation, as the conversations seem to contradict sworn statements Sessions gave during his confirmation hearing.
Republican Senator Roy Blunt said in a statement earlier this week he takes Sessions “at his word” that he had no discussions with Russia.
