The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents about a scam going around.
Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols says the scam involves a person calling posing a family.
Nichols says the scam is likely being generated out of the country and it is extremely difficult to catch the individuals as well as getting the money back for the victim.
