Jefferson City Police are following up on several leads in homicide last (Monday) night.
According to police it happened just before 10:30 in the area of 700 Monroe Street.
Police say that several shots were fired, and upon arrival they found a 23 year old Jefferson City resident suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. Anyone with information is asked Crimestoppers.
