The University of Missouri System office is announcing it will be cutting 474 jobs.
President Mun Choi made the announcement Friday that the measure is to generate 101 million dollars in savings to meet budget deficits and provide funding for new initiatives.
The job cuts will be spread across all 4 campuses.
There is an estimated 8.5 million dollars in cuts at the system level so far.
UM systems is facing the financial challenges due to declining enrollment.
