A mechanical failure causes an airplane to crash in Callaway County on Saturday morning.
According to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Department it happened at 6000 State Road O east of Fulton just before 10 am. The airplane was enroute to Elton Hensley Memorial Airport in Fulton when the pilot experienced mechanical failure and tried to make a controlled emergency landing, but was unsuccessful and crashed into the woods.
5 passengers were on the plane, 2 suffered minor injuries, the other were not injured.
