A bid to replace the Champ Clark Bridge in Pike County is accepted and comes in 2 million dollars less than what was projected.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission accepted a bid of 60 million dollars from Massman Construction out of St. Louis last (Thursday) night.
The bridge is aging as it was built in 1928.
A completion date is expected for the fall of 2019.
If the work is completed before November 1st of 2019 a one million dollar incentive will be paid.
