The Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green is on lock down after an incident yesterday (Wednesday) where a staff member was assaulted by an inmate.
The State Department of Corrections reports the staff member is alert and is in stable condition after being assaulted with a homemade weapon by an inmate.
The incident is still under investigation.
