Police are searching for a suspect that took them on a car chase early this (Thursday) morning.
According to reports Jefferson City police attempted to stop a passenger car for a traffic violation, and the car took them on a chase towards Holts Summit.
Apparently the suspect crashed into a ravine off of Highway 54 near Route AA and La Char Drive north of Holts Summit, and escaped on foot.
The suspect has not yet been identified.
