Drivers in Jefferson City should expect road closures beginning early Saturday for the annual Salute to America Fourth of July celebration.
Police say downtown streets will start closing at 5 a.m., with festivities kicking off at 11 a.m. around Broadway, High Street, Madison Street and the Missouri Capitol grounds.
The Salute to America Parade begins at 6 p.m.
Officials are urging motorists to watch for pedestrians, follow parking restrictions and plan for delays.
All roads are expected to reopen by 2 a.m. Sunday.
