Road Closures Begin Saturday for Salute to America

Drivers in Jefferson City should expect road closures beginning early Saturday for the annual Salute to America Fourth of July celebration.

Police say downtown streets will start closing at 5 a.m., with festivities kicking off at 11 a.m. around Broadway, High Street, Madison Street and the Missouri Capitol grounds.

The Salute to America Parade begins at 6 p.m.

Officials are urging motorists to watch for pedestrians, follow parking restrictions and plan for delays.

All roads are expected to reopen by 2 a.m. Sunday.
