An Eldon woman has serious injuries after falling asleep while driving and hitting a tree.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol it happened around 5pm last (Wednesday) night when 38 year old Dianna M. Dawson fell asleep and crossed the center line on Route Y north of Clark Road in Miller County.

Dawson was taken to the Lake Regional Medical Center.
