Escaped Inmate Found Dead in Fulton Home

The Fulton inmate who escaped the Callaway County Jail is found dead by police at a home in Fulton last (Wednesday) night.

According to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home in the 7000 block of Primrose Lane, to search for Seth MacVittie.

Officers say they observed Macvittie inside the house and quickly exited residents out of the home, so there was no hostage situation.

After several attempts to contact MacVittie inside the residence with no success, deputies say they entered the home at 11pm and found the man deceased.

A death investigation is under way.
