MoDOT Employees Helping with Irma Clean Up

More than fifty Missouri Department of Transportation employees are heading to Florida to help with the clean up in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.

Patrick McKenna director of the Missouri Department of Transportation says he was stunned and amazed at the amount of people who volunteered for this effort.

McKenna says that the crews will be working 12 hours shifts and may be gone for around two weeks.

There are also 18 Missouri State Parks employees heading to Florida to help with the clean up as well.
