A 17 year old was taken to the hospital after falling from a rock bridge at Clifty Creek Conservation Area yesterday [Tuesday] afternoon.
According to the Maries County Sheriff’s Office, hikers in the area helped rescuers carry the teen on a stretcher out of the conservation area.
A life flight helicopter was waiting in a nearby field off Highway W.
The victim suffered injuries to her back and legs and was conscious during the rescue efforts.
She was flown to a trauma center to assess the severity of her injuries.
The girl’s name has not been released.
