National Weather Service Reports Christmas Eve Snow

If you have been hoping for a white Christmas this year, you may just get your wish according to the most recent reports from the National Weather Service.

A weather outlook has been issued this morning for portions of eastern and central Missouri.

The chances for a significant snow will come on Christmas eve, with 2 to 4 inches expected for portions of northeast Missouri. For areas surrounding Audrain County, 1 to 2 inches are possible.

In order for a white Christmas to be official, at least one inch of snow must be on the ground by 6AM on Christmas morning.

The last time mid-Missouri had an official White Christmas was in 2010.
