Man Sentenced For Prison Assaults

A 26 year old pleaded guilty in Callaway County Court to numerous crimes involving staff at the Fulton Diagnostic and Reception Center.

Terrance Tipton admitted he spit on 2 guards and a fellow inmate. He also used a shiv to cause a puncture wound on the wrist of a corrections officers in December of 2016.

Additionally, Tipton said he used a dinner tray to cause injury to a correction officer’s abdomen while he was being served his evening meal.

Tipton will spend an additional 6 years in prison.
